Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Travel & Leisure and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF), which rose 2.50% or 0.380 points to trade at 15.550 at the close. Meanwhile, Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) added 1.81% or 0.46 points to end at 25.81 and Italgas SpA (MI:IG) was up 1.32% or 0.06 points to 4.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT), which fell 2.72% or 0.0225 points to trade at 0.8045 at the close. Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (MI:UNPI) declined 1.88% or 0.076 points to end at 3.958 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) was down 1.78% or 0.3100 points to 17.0800.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 193 to 154 and 19 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.17% or 0.54 to $46.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.20% or 0.58 to hit $49.00 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.85% or 10.38 to trade at $1227.68 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.47% to 1.1452, while EUR/GBP fell 0.58% to 0.8758.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.53% at 95.05.
