Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Technology and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 1.66%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were STMicroelectronics (MI:STM), which rose 4.84% or 0.300 points to trade at 6.495 at the close. Meanwhile, Exor (MI:EXOR) added 4.17% or 1.74 points to end at 43.50 and Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) was up 3.86% or 0.0390 points to 1.0500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER), which fell 3.57% or 0.93 points to trade at 25.13 at the close. CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) declined 2.23% or 0.140 points to end at 6.150 and Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) was down 2.11% or 0.30 points to 13.93.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 312 to 126 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.48% or 0.69 to $45.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.51% or 0.26 to hit $49.44 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.79% or 9.30 to trade at $1189.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.51% to 1.1415, while EUR/GBP fell 0.65% to 0.7365.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 94.22.
