Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 1.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF), which rose 7.75% or 1.000 points to trade at 13.900 at the close. Meanwhile, Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (MI:UNPI) added 3.54% or 0.130 points to end at 3.800 and Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) was up 2.63% or 0.066 points to 2.580 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER), which fell 2.27% or 0.64 points to trade at 27.56 at the close. Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) declined 1.83% or 0.40 points to end at 21.50 and Brembo (MI:BRBI) was down 1.28% or 0.85 points to 65.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 213 to 132 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF) rose to 5-year highs; rising 7.75% or 1.000 to 13.900.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.70% or 0.81 to $48.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.37% or 0.70 to hit $51.62 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 2.85 to trade at $1199.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.32% to 1.0638, while EUR/GBP fell 0.19% to 0.8709.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 101.33.
