Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which rose 7.74% or 0.460 points to trade at 6.400 at the close. Meanwhile, Banca Popolare di Milano Scarl (MI:PMII) added 3.56% or 0.0145 points to end at 0.4221 and Saipem (MI:SPMI) was up 3.22% or 0.0133 points to 0.4260 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mediaset (MI:MS), which fell 6.93% or 0.224 points to trade at 3.006 at the close. Luxottica Group (MI:LUX) declined 4.03% or 1.82 points to end at 43.32 and Mediobanca (MI:MDBI) was down 2.34% or 0.140 points to 5.850.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 205 to 174 and 32 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.02% or 0.44 to $42.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $44.92 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1327.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.04% to 1.0989, while EUR/GBP fell 0.05% to 0.8367.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 97.17.
