Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Utilities and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 3.74%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Nireus Aqua (AT:NIRr), which rose 18.92% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.088 at the close. Meanwhile, Dromeas (AT:DROr) added 4.17% or 0.005 points to end at 0.125 and Iaso (AT:IASr) was up 2.63% or 0.020 points to 0.780 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bank Of Piraeus (AT:BOPr), which fell 17.27% or 0.067 points to trade at 0.321 at the close. Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr) declined 12.61% or 0.044 points to end at 0.305 and Natl. Bank Gr (AT:NBGr) was down 11.11% or 0.14 points to 1.12.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 56 to 20 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bank Of Piraeus (AT:BOPr) fell to all time lows; losing 17.27% or 0.067 to 0.321.
Gold for April delivery was up 0.68% or 8.10 to $1205.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 3.13% or 1.54 to hit $50.75 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 4.05% or 2.29 to trade at $58.77 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.42% to 1.0923, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.7355.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.26% at 97.33.
