Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 2.51%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Grivalia Properties REIC (AT:GRIr), which rose 4.61% or 0.35 points to trade at 7.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) added 2.20% or 0.020 points to end at 0.930 and Dromeas (AT:DROr) was up 1.50% or 0.002 points to 0.135 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bank Of Piraeus (AT:BOPr), which fell 11.11% or 0.052 points to trade at 0.416 at the close. Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) declined 10.00% or 0.015 points to end at 0.135 and Iaso (AT:IASr) was down 8.45% or 0.060 points to 0.650.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 54 to 20 and 2 ended unchanged.
Gold for June delivery was down 0.47% or 5.60 to $1183.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.71% or 0.42 to hit $58.97 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.22% or 0.81 to trade at $65.35 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.45% to 1.1151, while EUR/GBP fell 1.21% to 0.7164.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 95.12.
