Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Household, Travel and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 2.47%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Autohellas (AT:AUTr), which rose 8.70% or 1.00 points to trade at 12.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) added 8.25% or 0.08 points to end at 1.05 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was up 5.26% or 0.011 points to 0.220 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Athens Medical (AT:AMCr), which fell 8.86% or 0.070 points to trade at 0.720 at the close. Terna Energy (AT:TENr) declined 7.60% or 0.25 points to end at 3.04 and Nireus Aqua (AT:NIRr) was down 7.26% or 0.009 points to 0.103.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 48 to 30 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Autohellas (AT:AUTr) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 8.70% or 1.00 to 12.50.
Gold for August delivery was up 0.29% or 3.40 to $1192.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.08% or 0.65 to hit $60.85 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.56% or 0.36 to trade at $65.25 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 1.76% to 1.1120, while EUR/GBP rose 0.95% to 0.7258.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.36% at 96.19.
