Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Household, Banking and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 2.08%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 7.79% or 0.031 points to trade at 0.429 at the close. Meanwhile, Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) added 4.12% or 0.100 points to end at 2.530 and Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) was up 2.20% or 0.040 points to 1.870 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which fell 9.66% or 0.0170 points to trade at 0.1590 at the close. Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) declined 5.66% or 0.036 points to end at 0.600 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) was down 5.44% or 0.080 points to 1.390.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 76 to 25 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) rose to 5-year highs; rising 4.12% or 0.100 to 2.530.
Gold for February delivery was down 0.45% or 5.45 to $1194.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.19% or 0.63 to hit $52.38 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 1.00% or 0.56 to trade at $55.45 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.10% to 1.0623, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.8717.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 101.39.
