Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Construction and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 1.86%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 8.21% or 0.028 points to trade at 0.369 at the close. Meanwhile, Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) added 6.38% or 0.048 points to end at 0.800 and AS Company SA (AT:ASCr) was up 4.85% or 0.037 points to 0.817 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr), which fell 6.25% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.165 at the close. Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) declined 5.12% or 0.031 points to end at 0.574 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) was down 4.26% or 0.075 points to 1.685.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 67 to 37 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) rose to 52-week highs; up 6.38% or 0.048 to 0.800. Shares in AS Company SA (AT:ASCr) rose to 5-year highs; rising 4.85% or 0.037 to 0.817.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.17% or 2.05 to $1205.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 2.13% or 1.03 to hit $47.37 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 1.60% or 0.82 to trade at $50.53 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.09% to 1.0644, while EUR/GBP rose 0.36% to 0.8749.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 101.33.
