Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 1.72%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr), which rose 7.61% or 0.04 points to trade at 0.49 at the close. Meanwhile, FHL I Kiriakidis Marbles and Granites SA (AT:KRKr) added 2.22% or 0.050 points to end at 2.310 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was up 1.85% or 0.002 points to 0.110 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Athens Medical (AT:AMCr), which fell 10.00% or 0.078 points to trade at 0.702 at the close. Euroconsultants SA (AT:ERCr) declined 7.88% or 0.1300 points to end at 1.5200 and Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) was down 6.17% or 0.010 points to 0.152.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 56 to 33 and 10 ended unchanged.
Gold for June delivery was up 0.98% or 12.05 to $1242.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.05% or 0.46 to hit $43.27 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.55% or 0.25 to trade at $44.82 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.46% to 1.1275, while EUR/GBP fell 0.13% to 0.7774.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.47% at 94.66.
