Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Travel, Retail and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 1.32%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Terna Energy (AT:TENr), which rose 5.81% or 0.18 points to trade at 3.28 at the close. Meanwhile, Elval (AT:VAL) added 2.84% or 0.04 points to end at 1.45 and Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) was up 2.74% or 0.04 points to 1.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr), which fell 30.00% or 0.32 points to trade at 0.74 at the close. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) declined 9.67% or 0.026 points to end at 0.243 and Iaso (AT:IASr) was down 8.62% or 0.069 points to 0.731.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 51 to 23 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr) fell to 52-week lows; falling 30.00% or 0.32 to 0.74. Shares in Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) fell to 52-week lows; losing 9.67% or 0.026 to 0.243. Shares in Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.74% or 0.04 to 1.50.
Gold for August delivery was down 0.93% or 11.00 to $1173.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 2.41% or 1.44 to hit $58.20 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 2.50% or 1.59 to trade at $62.20 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.1276, while EUR/GBP fell 0.11% to 0.7341.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 95.34.
