Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Household, Food and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.92%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Halcor (AT:XAKO), which rose 5.33% or 0.017 points to trade at 0.336 at the close. Meanwhile, FHL I Kiriakidis Marbles and Granites SA (AT:KRKr) added 1.67% or 0.040 points to end at 2.440 and Elliniki Technodomiki Anemos SA (AT:ANEMr) was up 1.49% or 0.010 points to 0.680 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Euroconsultants SA (AT:ERCr), which fell 11.89% or 0.1700 points to trade at 1.2500 at the close. Iaso (AT:IASr) declined 8.11% or 0.043 points to end at 0.487 and J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr) was down 5.00% or 0.023 points to 0.429.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 64 to 27 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold for June delivery was down 1.88% or 23.90 to $1250.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.72% or 1.31 to hit $46.88 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 2.86% or 1.40 to trade at $47.53 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1201, while EUR/GBP fell 0.01% to 0.7683.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.17% at 95.36.
