Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.80%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which rose 9.68% or 0.2400 points to trade at 2.7200 at the close. Meanwhile, Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) added 6.52% or 0.045 points to end at 0.735 and Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr) was up 1.67% or 0.015 points to 0.915 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr), which fell 6.94% or 0.120 points to trade at 1.610 at the close. Kleeman Hellas (AT:KLEr) declined 5.49% or 0.090 points to end at 1.550 and Select Textile (AT:EPIr) was down 3.51% or 0.004 points to 0.110.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 55 to 31 and 20 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.03% or 0.45 to $1325.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.62% or 0.77 to hit $46.87 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.56% or 0.78 to trade at $49.37 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.1170, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.8543.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 95.70.
