Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Retail, Technology and Food sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 9.72% or 0.0140 points to trade at 0.1580 at the close. Meanwhile, Intralot (AT:INLr) added 5.26% or 0.060 points to end at 1.200 and ThesKi Water (AT:TWSr) was up 3.35% or 0.110 points to 3.380 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which fell 4.81% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.099 at the close. Autohellas (AT:AUTr) declined 4.37% or 0.52 points to end at 11.38 and Reds (AT:CAMr) was down 3.83% or 0.012 points to 0.301.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 59 to 35 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.16% or 2.05 to $1271.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.40% or 1.17 to hit $49.86 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.16% or 1.10 to trade at $51.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.1206, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.8782.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 96.13.
