Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Household, Retail and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which rose 5.53% or 0.1300 points to trade at 2.4800 at the close. Meanwhile, National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) added 5.26% or 0.01 points to end at 0.20 and Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) was up 3.59% or 0.190 points to 5.480 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which fell 9.52% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.114 at the close. Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) declined 7.49% or 0.051 points to end at 0.630 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) was down 5.08% or 0.006 points to 0.112.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 52 to 35 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.59% or 0.190 to 5.480.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.27% or 3.55 to $1326.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.60% or 0.28 to hit $47.05 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.94% or 0.46 to trade at $49.51 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.1282, while EUR/GBP rose 0.47% to 0.8553.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 94.70.
