Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Retail, Banking and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 8.16% or 0.0120 points to trade at 0.1590 at the close. Meanwhile, Centric Hold (AT:DESr) added 5.45% or 0.006 points to end at 0.116 and Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) was up 4.90% or 0.1200 points to 2.5700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr), which fell 6.82% or 0.023 points to trade at 0.311 at the close. Folli Follie (AT:HDFr) declined 5.67% or 1.19 points to end at 19.81 and National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) was down 5.00% or 0.01 points to 0.19.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 51 to 39 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.30% or 4.05 to $1337.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.33% or 1.11 to hit $46.51 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.50% or 1.25 to trade at $48.74 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.41% to 1.1213, while EUR/GBP fell 0.13% to 0.8457.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.40% at 95.42.
