Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Household, Healthcare and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Metka (AT:MTKr), which rose 3.89% or 0.29 points to trade at 7.74 at the close. Meanwhile, National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) added 3.57% or 0.02 points to end at 0.58 and Greek Organisation of Football Prognostics SA (AT:OPAr) was up 3.38% or 0.270 points to 8.250 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elgeka (AT:ELGr), which fell 9.91% or 0.023 points to trade at 0.209 at the close. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) declined 9.70% or 0.029 points to end at 0.299 and Dromeas (AT:DROr) was down 7.63% or 0.010 points to 0.121.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 53 to 42 and 7 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.15% or 1.70 to $1117.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.32% or 0.15 to hit $47.00 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.74% or 0.86 to trade at $48.88 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.1313, while EUR/GBP fell 0.03% to 0.7286.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 95.40.
