Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite gained 1.52% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Intracom Hold (AT:INRr), which rose 8.65% or 0.027 points to trade at 0.339 at the close. Meanwhile, Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) added 7.53% or 0.007 points to end at 0.100 and Kleeman Hellas (AT:KLEr) was up 6.77% or 0.09 points to 1.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr), which fell 6.00% or 0.03 points to trade at 0.47 at the close. National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) declined 4.17% or 0.01 points to end at 0.23 and ThesKi Water (AT:TWSr) was down 3.01% or 0.09 points to 2.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 54 to 34 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold for April delivery was down 1.08% or 13.70 to $1259.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.51% or 0.57 to hit $38.41 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.52% or 0.21 to trade at $40.26 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.14% to 1.1162, while EUR/GBP fell 0.87% to 0.7759.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 96.12.
