Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Travel, Utilities and Food sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite gained 0.65% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Intracom Hold (AT:INRr), which rose 5.26% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.400 at the close. Meanwhile, Hygeia (AT:HYGr) added 4.29% or 0.010 points to end at 0.243 and Gek Terna (AT:HRMr) was up 3.77% or 0.090 points to 2.480 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr), which fell 3.14% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.540 at the close. J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr) declined 2.97% or 0.015 points to end at 0.490 and Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) was down 2.94% or 0.040 points to 1.320.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 53 to 47 and 21 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.36% or 4.55 to $1249.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.66% or 0.82 to hit $50.33 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 1.16% or 0.61 to trade at $53.15 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.27% to 1.0736, while EUR/GBP fell 0.75% to 0.8594.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 99.93.
