Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Retail, Travel and Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 8.05% or 0.0140 points to trade at 0.1880 at the close. Meanwhile, Reds (AT:CAMr) added 6.25% or 0.020 points to end at 0.340 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) was up 5.63% or 0.009 points to 0.165 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr), which fell 2.44% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.600 at the close. Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) declined 1.56% or 0.020 points to end at 1.260 and Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) was down 1.27% or 0.004 points to 0.310.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 47 to 36 and 27 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.16% or 2.05 to $1281.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.18% or 0.08 to hit $44.97 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.04% or 0.02 to trade at $46.13 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.1050, while EUR/GBP fell 0.04% to 0.8902.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 97.71.
