Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Food and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 8.15% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.146 at the close. Meanwhile, Halcor (AT:XAKO) added 6.12% or 0.020 points to end at 0.351 and Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) was up 4.92% or 0.1300 points to 2.7700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Reds (AT:CAMr), which fell 6.45% or 0.022 points to trade at 0.319 at the close. ThesKi Port (AT:OLTr) declined 2.67% or 0.50 points to end at 18.20 and Athens Water (AT:EYDr) was down 2.34% or 0.13 points to 5.42.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 57 to 41 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in ThesKi Port (AT:OLTr) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.67% or 0.50 to 18.20.
Gold for December delivery was down 1.04% or 14.00 to $1330.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 3.42% or 1.57 to hit $44.36 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 3.44% or 1.65 to trade at $46.28 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.47% to 1.1201, while EUR/GBP fell 0.54% to 0.8625.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 95.54.
