Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Insurance, Telecoms and Household sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite rose 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr), which rose 23.47% or 0.12 points to trade at 0.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) added 5.84% or 0.09 points to end at 1.63 and Intralot (AT:INLr) was up 4.43% or 0.07 points to 1.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which fell 7.33% or 0.07 points to trade at 0.94 at the close. Folli Follie (AT:HDFr) declined 4.80% or 1.20 points to end at 23.80 and Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) was down 3.80% or 0.030 points to 0.760.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 39 to 30 and 3 ended unchanged.
Gold for August delivery was up 0.01% or 0.10 to $1173.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 1.10% or 0.66 to hit $59.61 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.91% or 0.57 to trade at $62.91 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.1197, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.7114.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 95.43.
