Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Household and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite gained 0.08% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 8.59% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.140 at the close. Meanwhile, Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) added 6.72% or 0.009 points to end at 0.143 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) was up 5.38% or 0.070 points to 1.370 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which fell 6.55% or 0.0590 points to trade at 0.8420 at the close. Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) declined 4.95% or 0.037 points to end at 0.702 and Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) was down 4.29% or 0.1200 points to 2.6800.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 51 to 51 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) fell to 3-years lows; falling 6.55% or 0.0590 to 0.8420.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.80% or 10.15 to $1273.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.90% or 1.46 to hit $51.75 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.38% or 1.23 to trade at $52.91 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.0972, while EUR/GBP fell 0.07% to 0.8921.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 97.77.
