Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Industrials and Retail sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite rose 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Hygeia (AT:HYGr), which rose 18.71% or 0.026 points to trade at 0.165 at the close. Meanwhile, Frigoglass (AT:FRIr) added 9.00% or 0.03 points to end at 0.34 and ThesKi Port (AT:OLTr) was up 7.58% or 1.51 points to 21.43 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were A.S. Company (AT:ASCr), which fell 5.54% or 0.019 points to trade at 0.324 at the close. Creta Plastics (AT:PLAKR) declined 3.95% or 0.14 points to end at 3.40 and Corinth Pipe (AT:CORr) was down 2.89% or 0.025 points to 0.840.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 46 to 45 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Hygeia (AT:HYGr) rose to 52-week highs; up 18.71% or 0.026 to 0.165.
Gold for June delivery was up 1.22% or 15.20 to $1259.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.84% or 0.73 to hit $40.45 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 2.12% or 0.89 to trade at $42.83 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.24% to 1.1429, while EUR/GBP fell 0.79% to 0.8014.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.40% at 93.84.
