Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Utilities and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 1.35%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 8.00% or 0.0160 points to trade at 0.2160 at the close. Meanwhile, Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) added 7.36% or 0.120 points to end at 1.750 and Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) was up 6.67% or 0.006 points to 0.096 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which fell 5.19% or 0.028 points to trade at 0.512 at the close. Iaso (AT:IASr) declined 1.69% or 0.015 points to end at 0.870 and Folli Follie (AT:HDFr) was down 1.67% or 0.30 points to 17.64.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 75 to 30 and 10 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.40% or 5.18 to $1301.68 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.32% or 0.67 to hit $51.27 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.28% or 0.72 to trade at $56.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.1839, while EUR/GBP fell 0.19% to 0.8903.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 92.84.
