Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Resources, Banking and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 29.94% or 0.144 points to trade at 0.625 at the close. Meanwhile, Select Textile (AT:EPIr) added 8.00% or 0.014 points to end at 0.189 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) was up 4.89% or 0.011 points to 0.236 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AS Company SA (AT:ASCr), which fell 6.92% or 0.110 points to trade at 1.480 at the close. Autohellas (AT:AUTr) declined 2.72% or 0.64 points to end at 22.80 and Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) was down 2.19% or 0.014 points to 0.624.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 64 to 38 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.34% or 4.40 to $1274.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.40% or 0.21 to hit $52.39 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.26% or 0.15 to trade at $58.59 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.98% to 1.1696, while EUR/GBP fell 0.33% to 0.8879.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.80% at 94.28.
