Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 2.15%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Jyske Bank A/S (COP:JYSK), which fell 0.82% or 2.9 points to trade at 349.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Coloplast A/S (COP:COLOb) fell 1.00% or 4.9 points to end at 484.1 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (COP:CHRH) was down 1.42% or 5.3 points to 367.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genmab (COP:GEN), which fell 4.83% or 32.5 points to trade at 640.0 at the close. FLSmidth & Co. (COP:FLS) declined 3.77% or 11.9 points to end at 303.6 and Vestas Wind Systems (COP:VWS) was down 3.19% or 12.5 points to 379.5.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 130 to 24 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.27% or 0.61 to $47.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.69% or 0.93 to hit $53.70 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.91% or 9.90 to trade at $1095.90 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 1.14% to 6.7155, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4618.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.86% at 96.51.
