Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 0.23% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 6.38% or 555 points to trade at 9255 at the close. Meanwhile, A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) added 5.74% or 485 points to end at 8935 and TDC A/S (CO:TDC) was up 3.18% or 1.05 points to 34.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA), which fell 1.30% or 0.80 points to trade at 60.55 at the close. Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) declined 1.28% or 5.2 points to end at 402.6 and Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) was down 1.19% or 7.5 points to 622.5.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 77 to 59 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.27% or 0.12 to $43.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.40% or 0.18 to hit $44.79 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.88% or 11.40 to trade at $1280.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.01% to 6.4733, while EUR/DKK fell 0.03% to 7.4404.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 93.25.
