Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 2.08%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS), which rose 4.70% or 11.0 points to trade at 245.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Genmab (CO:GEN) added 3.83% or 42.0 points to end at 1139.0 and Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) was up 3.81% or 2.30 points to 62.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN), which fell 0.76% or 1.8 points to trade at 236.3 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) added 0.71% or 55 points to end at 7770 and Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) was up 1.04% or 3.5 points to 341.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 116 to 31 and 13 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.64% or 1.28 to $49.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.68% or 1.32 to hit $50.49 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.39% or 5.05 to trade at $1289.75 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.25% to 6.5766, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4369.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.57% at 93.76.
