Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.37%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (CO:GEN), which rose 3.89% or 37.0 points to trade at 987.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) added 3.00% or 13.1 points to end at 450.4 and Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) was up 2.81% or 17.5 points to 640.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which fell 3.62% or 335 points to trade at 8920 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) declined 3.25% or 290 points to end at 8645 and Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) was down 1.62% or 8.1 points to 492.9.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 89 to 62 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Genmab (CO:GEN) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.89% or 37.0 to 987.5.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.64% or 1.18 to $43.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 3.57% or 1.62 to hit $43.75 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 2.12% or 27.45 to trade at $1266.55 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.07% to 6.5271, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4397.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 94.06.
