Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Personal & Household Goods and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.44% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were GN Store Nord (CO:GN), which rose 2.38% or 3.0 points to trade at 129.0 at the close. Meanwhile, A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) added 1.95% or 200 points to end at 10450 and A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) was up 1.89% or 190 points to 10240 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK), which fell 1.49% or 4.8 points to trade at 317.6 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) declined 1.34% or 2.5 points to end at 184.0 and Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) was down 0.62% or 3.5 points to 564.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 93 to 65 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.37% or 0.59 to $42.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.83% or 0.84 to hit $45.33 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1070.10 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.15% to 7.0319, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4604.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 99.89.
