Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.22% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK), which rose 2.07% or 5.6 points to trade at 276.7 at the close. Meanwhile, A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) added 1.76% or 150 points to end at 8695 and Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) was up 1.45% or 0.85 points to 59.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS), which fell 0.60% or 2.8 points to trade at 464.4 at the close. Genmab (CO:GEN) declined 0.58% or 7.0 points to end at 1206.0 and Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb) was down 0.49% or 1.6 points to 326.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 71 to 68 and 21 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.22% or 0.09 to $41.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.16% or 0.07 to hit $43.16 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.03% or 13.75 to trade at $1354.95 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.77% to 6.6631, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4391.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.12% at 95.61.
