Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Services, Financials and Public Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p), which rose 2.23% or 820.0 points to trade at 37640.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Bcolombia (CN:BIC) added 1.96% or 460.0 points to end at 23900.0 and Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS) was up 1.38% or 520.0 points to 38300.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which fell 2.64% or 270.0 points to trade at 9950.0 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 2.40% or 55.0 points to end at 2235.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) was down 1.67% or 0.3 points to 17.7.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 14 to 9 and 5 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for September delivery was up 2.58% or 3.64 to $144.52 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.93% or 28.00 to hit $3032.50 , while the August Gold contract rose 0.24% or 3.10 to trade at $1321.00 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 2.23% to 2915.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.31% to 899.96.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.41% at 95.80.
