Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Software & Computers and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 lost 0.63%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Ackermans V.Haaren (BR:ACKB), which rose 0.91% or 1.20 points to trade at 132.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Elia (BR:ELI) added 0.89% or 0.385 points to end at 43.680 and Engie SA (PA:ENGIE) was up 0.46% or 0.07 points to 15.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delta Lloyd (AS:DLL), which fell 2.07% or 0.17 points to trade at 8.21 at the close. KBC (BR:KBC) declined 1.77% or 0.980 points to end at 54.390 and Delhaize Group (BR:DELB) was down 1.74% or 1.44 points to 81.09.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 93 to 62 and 8 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.61% or 7.00 to $1162.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 3.16% or 1.57 to hit $48.06 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 3.02% or 1.60 to trade at $51.31 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.1366, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.7408.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 94.84.
