Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG), which rose 1.85% or 1.210 points to trade at 66.640 at the close. Meanwhile, Elia (BR:ELI) added 1.05% or 0.505 points to end at 48.405 and Telenet Group (BR:TNET) was up 1.04% or 0.55 points to 53.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ackermans V.Haaren (BR:ACKB), which fell 1.40% or 1.85 points to trade at 130.50 at the close. Etablissementen Fr Colruyt NV (BR:COLR) declined 0.92% or 0.41 points to end at 44.27 and Umicore NV (BR:UMI) was down 0.89% or 0.45 points to 49.72.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 74 to 42 and 8 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.11% or 1.35 to $1257.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.39% or 0.75 to hit $53.30 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 1.19% or 0.67 to trade at $55.75 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.0623, while EUR/GBP rose 0.41% to 0.8544.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 100.85.
