- The new U.S. airline being started by three industry execs has ordered 60 A220-300s, according to Airbus (OTCPK:EADSF, OTCPK:EADSY).
- David Neeleman (JetBlue founder), Robert Milton (former Air Canada CEO) and Henri Courpronm (former ILFC CEO) are leading the startup airline that is code-named Moxy.
- Moxy is expected to be a low-cost carrier in the U.S. using secondary airports in locations such as Burbank, Fort Worth, Gary, Long Island and Providence. Though starting off small in scale, the roll-out of Moxy is still a development to watch for American Airlines Group (NASDAQ:AAL), Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL), JetBlue (NASDAQ:JBLU), Spirit Airlines (NASDAQ:SAVE), Alaska Air (NYSE:ALK), United Continental (NASDAQ:UAL), Southwest Airlines (NYSE:LUV), Mesa Airlines (NASDAQ:MESA) and Hawaiian Airlines (NASDAQ:HA).
