LONDON, Oct 6 (Reuters) - Buyout firm BC Partners has picked BNP Paribas and Credit Suisse to prepare its French care-home group Medica for a first-quarter stock market flotation, a person familiar with the matter said on Tuesday.
BC Partners, whose 2006 buyout valued Medica at 750 million euros ($1.11 billion), invited pitches from banks at the start of September, two people familiar with the matter said last month.
BC declined to comment.
A Paris listing of Medica, which had turnover of 387 million euros in 2007, would rank the company against listed competitors such as Orpea SA and Korian SA. ($1=.6788 Euro) (Reporting by Quentin Webb; editing by Douwe Miedema and Simon Jessop)
