Investing.com - ECB President Mario Draghi Thursday said it is too early to talk about tapering of the bank's QE program.
Draghi said there was no discussion of tapering at the ECB's Governing Council meeting Thursday.
The ECB left its key rates and asset purchasing program unchanged.
When the issue of tapering does arrive it will require "very careful discussion of the situation but we are not there".
Draghi described the euro-zone economic recovery as "resilient".
He said the pick-up in headline inflation has mainly been driven by energy prices but underlying inflation remains "subdued".
Draghi said he does not envisage divergence in inflation rates across the euro zone becoming unmanageable.
The ECB said purchase of assets with yields below the deposit rate will only apply to the public sector".
