The VIX drops over 8% today but ZIV only goes up 1%. Why is that?

think it tracks medium term vix (6M or so) and that has stayed at an elevated level -> market fear is still there so I don't see this moving much in short term

Currently a waste of money. AVOID from long side except intraday only and even then, expect for underperformance. These products were not designed for +25 vol.

What a bad new is VIX future stay still over 40. I think option premium is still high for people's expectation or don't care of it.

VIX dropped from 66 to 42. ZIV dropped from 38 to 30 , now 33. Makes to sense. Market Makers are Manipulating this Instrument

Not the market makers. It is the design of the ETF. A bit surprised the SEC has not stepped in to halt trade since VelocityShares won't close it themselves. Buyer beware!!!!!
