As of October 21, 2014, iShares Trust - iShares Target Date Retirement Income ETF has gone out of business. iShares Trust - iShares Target Date Retirement Income ETF is an exchange traded fund of fund launched by BlackRock, Inc. It is managed by Blackrock Fund Advisors. The fund invests in funds which invest in the public equity and fixed income markets across the globe. For its equity portion, it seeks to invest in the funds which invest in stocks of companies operating across diversified sectors. The fund primarily invests in funds which invest in stocks of mid-cap and large-cap companies with minimum market capitalization of $100 million. For its fixed-income portion, it invests in funds which invest in the aggregate bond and U.S. Treasury bond market. The fund invests in funds that have an asset allocation geared toward investors who are currently retired or are close to retirement. It seeks to track the performance of the S&P Target Date Retirement Income Index, by using representative sampling approach. The fund was formerly known as iShares Trust - iShares S&P Target Date Retirement Income Index Fund. iShares Trust - iShares Target Date Retirement Income ETF was formed on November 4, 2008 and is domiciled in the United States.
