AdvisorShares Trust - AdvisorShares Global Echo ETF is an exchange traded fund launched and managed by AdvisorShares Investments, LLC. The fund is co-managed by Reynders, McVeigh Capital Management, LLC and Community Capital Management, Inc. It invests in public equity and fixed income markets of countries across the globe. The fund takes long and short positions to invest directly and through other ETFs to create its portfolio. For its equity portion, it invests in stocks of companies operating across diversified sectors. The fund primarily invests in the stocks of companies across all market capitalizations. For its fixed income portion, it primarily invests in debt securities of domestic and foreign governments, agencies, and instrumentalities, municipalities, and companies, including municipal bonds of all maturities and qualities. The fund employs absolute return strategy and sustainable investment themes including economic, environmental, technology, and a variety of social factors to create its portfolio. It employs fundamental analysis focusing on factors such as earnings, cash flows, and valuations, and diversification among the economic and industry sectors in the S&P 500 Index, the Morgan Stanley Capital International ACWI Index, the MSCI Europe, Australasia and Far East Index, and the MSCI Emerging Markets Index to create its portfolio. The fund benchmarks the performance of its portfolio against the MSCI World Index and the Barclays U.S. Aggregate Bond Index. AdvisorShares Trust - AdvisorShares Global Echo ETF was formed on May 23, 2012 and is domiciled in the United States.
