Good morning. My question concerns the “Brent Crude Futures” traded on the “ICE Futures Europe”. At 09:29 AM London Time there is often a peak in volumes. I've searched a lot but I can't find an event that can generate this peak in volumes (opening, fixing, settlemet, auctions, news etc..). Can you help me please? Thank you

Could this be due to Asian and European markets’ overlap, as the final Asian ones close just after 9.00? The same phenomenon occurs as US opens during European session and they overlap for a period. Not sure if this helps?

That overlap might just be relevant to equities though, as futures trade much longer hours. Not sure there’d be any correlation?

Spatial arbitrage perhaps, or liquidity providers realigning hedges?

Thanks for your kind reply. Which Asian oil market closes at 09:29 AM London Time and could affect the “Brent Crude Futures” traded on the “ICE Futures Europe”?

Good Mornings:The Israeli military has urged the evacuation of parts of Rafah in southern Gaza. Palestinians are advised to move to a “humanitarian area” in Al Mawasi, and evacuations have reportedly begun1. Gold prices have risen due to hopes of a ceasefire and ongoing tensions in the Middle East. Investors are closely monitoring the situation2.

A Hamas official has told Al Jazeera Arabic that the Israeli prime minister was “personally hindering” a ceasefire agreement, as the second day of diplomatic talks is set to resume in Cairo.

no, Israel continues to be persistsnt on Rafah invasion and is only willing to consider temporary truce. Discussions will probably continue during the coming days at least. Not expecting they will come to terms unless one party decides to give in.
