EUR/USD
The euro tumbled across the board on Monday but was off the lows of the day, after Greece voted to reject the conditions tied to the troubled country's debt bailout deal. The euro dropped to a one-week low against the dollar below $1.10 immediately following the "No" outcome. Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras was given hours to come up with a plan to keep his country in the euro and stave off economic disaster as citizens suffer under a second week of capital controls. Adding to the pressure, the ECB made it tougher for Greek banks to access emergency loans. German Chancellor Angela Merkel said, time is running out as she and French President Francois Hollande responded to Sunday’s referendum result in Greece. Euro-region finance ministers will gather for an emergency meeting on Tuesday.
GBP/USD
The dollar trimmed gains against the pound on Monday, after data showed that U.S. service sector activity grew at a slower pace than expected in June although the greenback remained broadly supported by the outcome of Sunday's Greek referendum.
USD/JPY
The U.S. dollar edged lower against the yen on Monday, as demand for safe-haven assets was boosted after Greek voters overwhelmingly rejected conditions of a rescue package from creditors on Sunday.
