The nickel 3-month price declined 0.8 percent on the LME to $13,860 per metric ton, after two days of improvement. After improving for two days, the nickel spot price declined 0.8 percent on the LME to $13,800 per metric ton.
Chinese stainless steel prices were mixed for the day. For the fifth consecutive day, the price of Chinese ferro-chrome held flat. The price of Chinese ferro-moly continues hovering in place for the fifth day in a row.
The price of Chinese primary nickel changed direction with a 1.2 percent drop. After two days of improving prices, the metal finished down. The price of Chinese 316 stainless coil held steady. The price of Chinese 304 stainless coil remained essentially flat. The price of Chinese 316 stainless steel scrap saw little movement. The price of Chinese 304 stainless steel scrap saw essentially no change for the fifth day in a row.
