Aqua Metals, Inc. (NASDAQ:AQMS), one of our swings, is working well. You can see that it is moving steadily higher since we gave it to you. On Thursday, it was up another 27 cents, or 7%, to 4.14, on 2.7 million shares, and just 3 cents from my first target at 4.25. The secondary target is 5.50, but I think ultimately this may get up near 8.00. I love the V-bottom with the right-handed extension-platform break of the declining topsline and moving averages. It increased in volume and OBV . This stock should extend, although there’s resistance at the 4.25-.30 range.
NRG Energy, Inc. (NYSE:NRG) is looking good and is a swing trade that is acting well. It had a flag breakout, a pullback, and on Thursday, it had a big pop of 1.87, or 6%, to 32.35, on 16 million shares. That's the biggest volume on this stock since July 2017. If this extends, and you can see the long-term channel top, it tells me that if it can get through 37-8, it should run up to the mid, and possibly, high 40’s.
Stocks on the Short Side….
Dave & Buster's Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ:PLAY) rolled over on Thursday, and broke out of the wedge, dropping another 1.14, or 2.7%, to 40.94, on 668,494 shares traded. It looks like it’s going to retest the lows at 38, and then ultimately the low 30’s, in the 32-3 range.
LendingTree, Inc. (NASDAQ:TREE), after 2 days of bouncing back from a disastrous drop, ran right back up to resistance, and then dropped back down 4.40, or 1.67%, to 258.95, on 202,382 shares traded, reaching lows at 248.20. I’m looking for a test ultimately in the 218-220 zone.
