Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Insurance, Media & Publishing and Energy & Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (TADAWUL:4130), which rose 7.69% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.14 at the close. Meanwhile, Raydan Co (TADAWUL:6012) added 7.29% or 2.10 points to end at 30.90 and The Company for Coop. Insurance (TADAWUL:8010) was up 6.63% or 10.00 points to 160.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Chemical Company (TADAWUL:2230), which fell 5.36% or 0.44 points to trade at 7.77 at the close. Power and Water Utility Company for Jubail and Yanbu (TADAWUL:2083) declined 5.22% or 3.50 points to end at 63.50 and The National Co for Glass Industrie (TADAWUL:2150) was down 4.82% or 2.15 points to 42.45.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 150 to 130 and 19 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.52% or 0.41 to $79.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.60% or 0.50 to hit $83.94 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 1.05 to trade at $2,312.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.39% to 4.02, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 105.49.
