Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Chemicals and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.92% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which rose 12.83% or 15.55 points to trade at 136.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED) added 5.20% or 21.30 points to end at 431.30 and GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) was up 3.17% or 6.40 points to 208.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK), which fell 1.55% or 8.50 points to trade at 541.50 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) declined 0.99% or 110.00 points to end at 10,970.00 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was down 0.87% or 100.00 points to 11,335.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 92 to 45 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 12.83% or 15.55 to 136.80.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.28% or 0.22 to $78.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.17% or 0.14 to hit $82.52 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.26% or 29.70 to trade at $2,389.60 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.47% to 6.86, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.59% at 104.28.
