Tesla’s future affordable car appears to be far from dead. CEO Elon Musk made this clear during the first quarter earnings conference call. To recap, during the call he discussed future low-cost cars — albeit briefly — specifying that the new “affordable” vehicles are based on aspects of both the next-generation platform and current platforms. And that Tesla will “accelerate the launch of new models” to “early 2025 if not late this year.” The models “are not contingent on any new factory or massive new production line.”
Tesla Expands Partnership With Baidu Tesla is also planning to expand its partnership with Chinese tech giant Baidu (BIDU) to assist with mapping and navigation for Tesla's operations in China. Partnering with a Chinese company may help ease the Chinese government's concerns about data security. Great!
Elon Musk reportedly won tentative approval to deploy Tesla's Full Self-Driving system in China. Tesla is also set to expand its partnership with Chinese tech giant Baidu to help with mapping and navigation.
Tesla cars use copper, expensive as Across the industry, manufacturers have been reusing and recycling some degree of copper for many years. Now they’re stepping up these efforts as the need for the metal is projected to nearly double by 2035.
Great robotaxi as The Logic Behind the Low-Cost Lease: The lease is so compelling that it doesn’t seem to make sense on its surface, according to Ryan. “They’re subsidizing this in some way, shape, or form,” he said. Tesla is saying in effect, “‘we’re going to make our lease deal twice as good as our purchase deal but you have to give us our car back. Which could [suggest] that they want it for the Robotaxi,” he said, alluding to the fact that you have to return the car at the end of the lease.

6000 euro price cut in Germany
Finally is Elon Musk, today, a chance for Tesla ? His strategic choices are very discutable. Who believe that FSD will be enough reliable for use on Robotaxi ? With only cameras ? Cameras completely blind if hard snowing, raining, fog….why competitors are using Lidars and radars ? Musk gives to AI competencies that will never happen. AI cannot works on unexisting informations.
This is not the only problems to have 5 level self driving cars it will take more 7~10 years
agree 100%
Play with free add on , free interest rate for loan, etc without reducing price anymore hehe
Tesla should not cut prices further for all models now. Just play with Low loan rates with buyers
With several price cuts since 2023, already a budget car for many now . No need to have any budget car models haha
Tesla is moving away from manufacturing and bets everything on artificial intelligence and autonomous driving, with a robotaxi replacing the long-awaited $25,000 EV. In light of this tectonic shift, it's worth revisiting what's happening at Tesla in 2024.
Robotaxi could boost the demand for tesla cars both new or used as Tesla no longer sees electric vehicle production as its main goal. Instead, it's now pursuing autonomous driving, with Musk believing this might be solved by the end of 2024. At the very best, this means that Tesla will have to wait a lot more before the next growth phase becomes visible.
Tesla will implement a “Rider Quality Score” that will allow people to see how you treat the vehicle as a passenger. Uber and Lyft both implemented this years ago so that drivers could decline certain people from rides. If you’re loud or obnoxious or damage things inside the car, your score will go down. This will keep riders on their best behavior and could eliminate things like theft or vandalism inside the car.
Tesla created the best ecosystem for its EVs e.g. continuous software update, chance to use the car as robotaxi soon, charger stations, and many more. Used tesla cars might be in higher demand in months to come to be used as robotaxis
In the future, Tesla may offer to buy back all used Tesla vehicles for use as robotaxis, simply adding software and possibly replacing with a stronger battery. As a result, any Tesla car can generate revenue for owners who want to keep their vehicles while earning money by using them as robotaxis.
The electric vehicle maker Tesla registered a significant decrease drop sales in Germany last month, with registrations plummeting by 64 percent year-over-year, according to data released by the German Federal Motor Transport Association (KBA).
As Tesla sees its shares fall drastically, investors begin to lose confidence. Several large investment funds are reducing their stake in the manufacturer's shares, suggesting difficult times for the electric car giant

€5,000 (6.4%) off some Model Y inventory plus 20,000 supercharging km in France. 🇫🇷 No surprise given France Y sales were down 40% YoY in May. April was actually up 10% YoY so that explains why they only started discounting inventory now.
Norway Wealth Fund to Vote Against Musk's $56 Billion Tesla Pay Package OSLO (Reuters) - Norway's $1.7 trillion sovereign wealth fund said on Saturday it will vote against ratifying Tesla CEO Elon Musk's $56 billion pay package, which is up for a shareholder vote next week, after a Delaware judge invalidated it earlier this year. At some point in the future every car on the road will be a Tesla or comparable EV, they are just that much better than the horse and buggy gas and diesel dinosaurs they replace.
What do you see as replacing EV?
Same happened with FORD.. and now many are better than FORD.... Tesla was not the first EV car...he just had the money and he hasnt found a way better than GASOLINE like Sting says " Walking in the moon"...to get to moon... for now he is using horses and buggy gas to get up there, but no even close
BEVs will be the dominant platform for most cars and trucks for the foreseeable future. Competition will normalize just like it had across legacy auto. The disruption will see new companies emerge and many older ones disappear altogether.
