Had a downside alert set at this price. Will have to go back thru my notes. I’ve been more bearish due to strengthening economic conditions and historically low yields on a risk/reward basis. As such, this is likely and alert confirming the hypothesis.

Ok ... this was an alert i had set at the longer-term 200-day simple moving average. With pice below all moving averages, primarily 50 and 200, this would be a signal of longer-term price weakness and more defensive posture.

Jeff Bailey  When the Fed ends QE bond yields usually fall in the period of tapering/post-QE. When the economy actually functioned (under Trump) was an exception. Doubt that will happen again.

163.97 @ close. I don’t think so. I did close out short in futures during cash, but rolled to short TLT and long some TMV. The KRE gave a powerful point and figure chart patern buy signal and GS closed a new 52-weeker. I think that’s a message from the market that longer dated Treasury bond bulls are taking profits and yield curve is foing to steepen. If you have to buy governments per your call, them so be it, but I think profit taking is underway.

I think this is going to touch around 250 during the upcoming crash. Rates are going to be negative and there is no other option. Stock market collapse of 2021 is going to historical.

i think the underlying problem is people are afraid of stock market collapse, they are shifting their funds to US Bonds(which is a safe heaven during crisis). it has been in uptrend since march, and there is no reversal trend up until now. Moreover, liquidity drain(monthly Fed purchases) seems imminent in view of increasing inflation will collapse the stock market eventually this year.

I don't know crisis will happen or not. Only know, when you buy a below 2% yield with inflation over 5%, 30years ago, you only get about 60%, however, all the good rise average 150%, your purchase power will lose very heavy😱😭

Fong Wai  for every 0.01% decline in 30yr yield the value of your position will increase by 0.24%. So if yield goes from 1.93% to 1.83% you would have about a 2.4% gain. Of course if yield goes to 2.03% you would have a 2.4% loss. So your conviction needs to be strong. I believe the US is very quickly becoming Japanese wrt bonds. Happy hunting!
