Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine trial data shows long-term efficacy in adolescents

(Reuters) -Pfizer Inc said on Monday its COVID-19 vaccine provided strong long-term protection against the virus in a late-stage study conducted among adolescents aged 12 to 15 years.

A two-dose series of the vaccine was 100% effective against COVID-19, measured seven days through over four months after the second dose, the company said.

The long-term data will support planned submissions for full-regulatory approval of the vaccine in the age group in the United States and worldwide.

Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) and BioNTech will seek clearance for a 30 micrograms dose of the vaccine for those aged 12 and above.

The vaccine was authorized for emergency use in people aged 12-15 years by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration in May, and granted full approval for use in people aged 16 and above in August.

If Pfizer is protected from lawsuits by the US government, it can say whatever it wants to say about its product, and Reuters, as usual, will gladly publish as fact anything Pfizer wants them to publish - no investigation necessary!
Since the virus doesn't attack younger people as hard as over 60 yrs of age people. With NO real proof of FDA approving the vaccine for older adults yet. Why are these big pharma Co and FDA in such a rush to vaccinate the young? Could somebody please point me to Pfizer's actual approval by FDA? We do realize a shell company set in Europe was given approval but nothing for North America. I believe Senator Ron Johnson is still waiting for an answer from Pfizer on this! Any reason why Pfizer has not responded to the people?

hello mcfly. your post is the most intelligent of all these bot like uneducated trolls, but come on.a small % dying is a big deal if it one of then is your kid. come on. if this prevents unnecessary deaths you dont want to do?that says nothing of reducing the spread to others with weakened immune systems or parents eo grandparents etc.thw vaccine is safe, we have. early a century of precedent of vaccines snuffing out very bad diseases and requiring them for public safety because everyone who refuses puts others in harms way. what a country we have become. so sad and preventable.
